Thanks for thinking about me when discussing Di2 Phil! Now, I've cut up all my credit cards and asked my bank manager to freeze my account. That should do the trick, at least for now!
Willy, shurely (hic!) some mistake on the spelling front there on your part (not British Cycling’s)? One "l" in marshal if it's a noun and two for a verb n'est ce pas? So you could marshall some marshals but not vice versa. At least that's what my old, battered Pocklington School dictionary seems to suggest! But, hey, almost anything goes nowadays spelling-wise in this "wired" world of ours doesn't it? Gosh, I must sound like an old f**t but really I'm quite youthful (one "l")! Toodle pip!
Dave Hinde (not that I'd ever buy from him) is advertising the 'mechanical 7900 to Di2' conversion kit for £1400.
Having heard those servos making that characteristic sound I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone with the appropriate 'sense : spend' ratio is tempted
Ah, that was Dr Dave posting about the Di2's, Howard, not I. My "sense:spend" ratio has its moments but my "scepticism:spend" ratio is adequate to foresee the likelihood of roadside moments with flat batteries. Nice chunky cables are fine by me - Cervelo tuck 'em away in the frame anyway...
he he. I just love the sound of a fast servo motor (sad but true!). And the battery pack should last for months between charges. Well that's the consensus of the half dozen or so reviews I've read to date... oh no, I'll get me coat...
