So today it was the H group and we went to the seaside (Filey), it was absolutely peeing it down, but I felt good so I was on the front for 15 or so miles, we went through Buttercrambe then up Acklam I think it's called, pretty tough hill, allthough I can tell I'm improving I flew up it, then we went into Thixendale where it was weirdly fast with a slightly downhill and a tailwind. On one stretch we all had a nice rest sitting behind a tractor for about 4 or 5 miles where we were being pulled along at 21mph, but eventually we overtook and dropped the tractor.
Was some great long straight roads up to Filey and was flying like mad down there 28+ I started to keep the pace it was so fun, Howard said he was gritting his teeth trying to stay with me, I kept my eye on the HRM (and obviously the road) and made sure I never went too hard, but I think I have still got some things to learn and need to improve pacing as usual, at around 76 miles my power was running out, Howard had a puncture, on a new tyre again, unlucky, but we were not stopped long, only around 20 minutes, I don’t know if that's long enough for your body to start thinking it's going into recovery mode, but we set off, I ate a mars bar, about 5 miles in was fully warmed up, never really got my power back and hill climbing performance started to slip so I was struggling and Howard lead the way on the last steep climb out from Kirkham abbey but I managed to keep on the back, just.
From about 82ish miles in Shaun (I think) started to lead the way and was flying, at some points I was struggling now, I was leading from where Howard had the puncture but Shaun moved to the front, kind of a relief and shown I was slightly bonking, he towed us back into york at over 20, was impressive. Some idiot drivers in york, you'd think some of them where blindfolded, one nearly ran into me and then Howard near the minster

So then I set off on the last 12 miles home, averaged not being everything I wanted to keep 18.9mph average just because it's the fastest ride over that distance yet, dropped to 18.8 but I kept it above 19 on the way home, somehow and finally achieved 123 miles, 18.9mph average, unfortunately crappy Garmin corrupt my History file but XML Editor says it's valid so nothing I can do about it

So all in all another good H run and very challening, I think next week I'm going to do the Sunday run and possibly the week after for a change.
Also the past two weeks I'm finding I'm possibly lacking some nutrition as I got home felt ok, but I became sick and ill feeling for a while, some Coke seemed to have helped and a custard sarnie sort of thing whatever they are. I'll have to buy gels to see if I'm any better.
