Club Open TT

Post by stevesavage »

Just a reminder that entries for the Club Open TT close on Tuesday 28th.

If you are planning on entering but haven't got round to it yet leave your name on this thread and I'll look out for your postal entry so you will get a ride.
If you are new to time trialling hopefully this link will give you some inspiration and you won't find a more welcoming and supportive event.

All the details are here although the entry fee has had to be increased from last year - it is now £7. Start time for the first rider is 2pm.

I will also be asking for help on the day mainly to marshall the course. If you can spare a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon please let me know. Thanks.

We had a good discussion at committee meeting about how people are v welcome to turn out to watch, support, cheer people on. Or even just drink tea and eat cakes at Hut afterwards. Also if never helped at an event we could offer to "pair" people up with someone who had for moral support.

But then Steve pointed out actually what he did want was as many people as possible riding!!

President Bernard said as he was released from time keeping duties could enter. And Phil Bixby is baking some scones. Helen helping at finish. Kevin has been giving out entry forms at square. I have seen elsewhere Mr Cambridge is making a comeback ride. People posting on this thread etc.

Got all motivated and was going to pedal round to Steves with my entry this morning.

Then realised it is same day as York are at Wembley and i have arranged to take Jacob.

To cut a long story short - if you are wavering like I was, go for it! And best of luck to all who are riding.

I didn't think I was available on the 9 May but looks like I am now! Am I too late to enter?

Sorry for the very last minute entry, I can post an application form tomorrow so you'll have it for Thursday. My full name is Daniel Cattle should I be able to enter.

Thanks for the late flurry of entries.

Tim - you need to send me an official CTT entry form. The link is in my earlier post. If you need any help filling it out let me know.

Andy H - if you don't get sorted out with Arthur I will be in on Thursday from about 8 onwards.

Dan - I'll look out for your entry.

Post by justsweat »

Hi Guys,

Do we have a start list yet, as I'm trying to plan next week as I don't get back from Mallorca until the middle of next week.

Yep could do with knowing the startlist soon myself just to make sure that i am on it, as i sent my regs in at the beginning of April, is the event full etc. Just need to know when we will know i suppose basically & I am actually looking forward to the pain of this as it will be nice to be on a nice country course for a change :)

Sorry for the delay in sending out the start sheet. This is because I know some people did their entries online via the CTT website. Unfortunately these entries have not been forwarded to me.
So if you have entered on line can you please let me know asap.

Blackchilli - please PM me your name and I'll check if I have received your entry. The event is not full so you will get a ride. You are right about the course, it is a good one!
