Afternoon/evening training

Post by CambridgeBloke »

Hi, am going out most days for about an hour at a good pace on mtb at about 20-22 average. If anybody wants to come for a ride let me know on this thread or by email/text either evening before or by text in the morning. I usually go out after work so usually anytime between 2 and 7 pm from near university road. However if someone wants to come out im easy going about times.

Cheers Andy

I should have said, I'm in Manchester untill the easter holidays.

You going to be riding in the easter holidays? I'll join you then maybe.

But when you said 20-22, is that mph or kmh? If it's mph I may not be able to join as that is like time trial on a road bike for me.

Thats my max average, not always that fast. To be honest i'd just be happy with the company as I dont know any of the guys up here as I had years out of racing. Im not a big mile eater, so the group rides are not for me. We should go out and see. Thats speed on slicks so maybe I could always put heavy tyres on to even it out. When are you back in York? email me and we can get out for a spin. What club are you? I am still getting round to joining a club again.

You'd probably find the Tuesday evening chaingang (starts when the clock changes) works well for you. Usually an hour and a half, fast.

Hi there

I'm leaving early on Monday, will probably do the Tues ride with Cycleworks at 6pm, then will be working from Leeds on Wed so looks like this week probably isn't a goer. I'm then cycling in Northumberland for a week after that. I'll e-mail you when I get back though. Mondays are probably best for me - leaving Uni around 4.30/5pm.
