Re: Thixendale Spirograph Saturday - Steady Ride

I'm hoping to be in for the vertical and horizontal convolutions. Any chance of a preview of the sequence of ups, downs and bits between. Mal

Re: Weekend Roundup 15/16 March

Jordans Jaunt. If I can't keep up on the road I can at least attempt some alliterative comparability.

Jaunt sounded jolly. Jordans definitely jarred. Sunday’s jet speed west wind and my jaded “jambes” generated definite dejection and somewhat abject apprehension. Undaunted I joined the jocular ...

Hi Ian
I've had a year of totally trivial factors that precluded points gaining. Nothing remotely as traumatic as the results of your a**e over t*t exploits but have been given all clear today for various aspects so can get stuck in again. Will happily attempt a few end of year challenges and pass ...

For only the second time in the history of Ron Kit I rode it not. Nor did I venture forth on two wheels at all this weekend - such are the vagaries of a blighted season: I could be Sir Brad's aspirational role model!

A couple of spare hours only this weekend and managed to squeeze in Howsham, Gally Gap, Lepppington to Leavening, Leavening Bank, Acklam Mast (both sides) and some fantastic panoramic views from the steaming towers of West Yorkshire, the distant dales, White Horse, the Howardians and round to the ...

I'm sure Rob isn't claiming copyright so for those who don't use technology here's the route written in the great man's own words.

Right, are you sitting comfortably? OS map out on the table, glass of red to hand.

The climbs out of Thixendale (going round anticlockwise):
1. Water Dale - that ...

Six hundred and seventy two hours off the pace but reliabilty route completed! An achingly dull monochromatic day with the vibrant colour of battleship drab with a charisma bypass - but at last some decent miles in the legs.
Sorry to hear of the slips, spills and tumbles - hope all recover without ...

Don't think it would do very well in James Martin's Saturday Kitchen "omelette challenge" (Oh the joys of Mother-in-law duties! - and I'm there again tomorrow!!)

A midweek attack by something violently nasty moved my reliabilty status from "UN" to most definitely "NUN" and having negotiated a compromise of the return of the garage keys for a guaranteed no more than 3 hours riding I picked up the last 30% of the route just outside Malton. I hoped to do some ...

Miles per expectorant appear to be the performance benchmark at the moment. Coughed and spluttered a whole 25 miles on Sunday and decided resorting to the red wine recovery programme is still the best option for the year end.

Behind everybody else as usual. Couldn't make Bernard's substitute Autumn Audax and did the route this weekend instead. Crossed paths with Dr Dave and JohnS (?) just near Crayke junction. Have to say DrD looked a bit more alive than previous week when we crossed paths just outside Warthill.
