Re: 2 Day Tour 12-14 Sep

I can give a lift to two people and bikes from York on Friday. I would be leaving around 5:30pm(ish).

Re: This months Sunday ride - 15th June!

I can make it if someone will give me a lift from York? The car is not running and booked in for the garage.

Thanks

It is usually best to turn up with about 30 mins to go to the start location of the time trial, so we know you are turning up :D

Also you can then get to the marshall point on time (if you are designated one far away)

and

if you are too late it gets more stressful for us as we will trying to ...

I have used the Pro 4 endurance over winter and they still seem as good as new (they are the replacement for the well reviewed Kylion). They have bead to bead puncture resistance and use the same 120tpi carcase as the racier versions. They feel like they have lots of grip. For winter I would go for ...

Me and Paul Scott headed over to Ingleton to do the 5 hour NYMBO. Looking at the map before we started it looked like we were if for a lot of those contour lines. The start of the ride was at Ingleton School which also seemed to have a bakery attached (which we would hartily recommend for pork pies ...

18th 19th Weekend Roundup

After going walking with the family at Malham I rode back home to York using my old MTB.
I first went up the 1 in 5 road called Malham Rakes to Makham Tarn before turning right onto the bridleway (The bridleways near Malham tarn are great!) down to Threshfield and on to the B6160 near Grassington. I ...

On Monday I cycled on my mountain bike from Boggle Hole near Whitby back to York. I mainly went off-road until I got to Pickering, then used the road for the rest.

From Boggle Hole I went up the road and joined the A171 to Whitby before taking a bridleway over Fylingdales Moor to join the Robin ...

Carradice a proper British company

I thought I would write to let everyone know how good Carradice are at supporting their products. I have just had my Carradice bar bag repaired by them as my map case had cracked.

Having identified that the map case poppers (for attaching it to the bag) have changed in the intervening years since I ...

Me, Paul Scott and Jonathan Bynoe headed out on a big loop on Saturday. This went from York via South Newbald, Sledmere, Humanby, Scarborough and Langdale End and then finishing back in York. According to my cycle computer it was 139 miles. It was also my first ride with my new Carradice seatbag ...

Not sure how far I went but I went out via Kirkham priory, then birdsall followed by thixendale, huggate, millington , garrowby hill, bugthorpe etc.

Seemed to be into the wind most of the time apart from coming back from garrowby hill. I was in the same gear going down the hill into thixendale as ...
