The following week (7/02) it is the club's reliability ride.

It depends on the weather and on how many riders turn up but
if the thaw holds and the sun shines I was thinking of heading out to Masham.

I have just checked the BBC weather forcast for Sunday and it predicts sunshine and that it will be above freezing all day.
At the risk of getting "giddy" we could ride our bikes somewhere.

I would not want to ride with a group on these roads at the moment.
I can't forget about the deaths resulting from the accident in Wales where the car skidded on black ice and went straight in to a group of cyclists.

Taking account of the weather and road conditions I am not listing a road ride for this week.
If riders would like to do something on Sunday we could go of-road.
With small patches on the road you can go a long way on the local bridle paths.

Barring the club run on the 27th I have only waved at the bikes in the garage and have giving up on the rowing machine as it is just so cold in there.

Having looked at the weather forcast for tonight/tomorrow, I have decidede to cancel this week's ride as the road conditions are to dangerous.

I have just realized it's New Years Eve so I will have to leave planning a big party for next year instead I will work on a route for Sunday.
Weather is still cold and I don't know whether it will be icey so I am moving the start time to 10am and the cafe stop will be either Helmsley or Hovingham ...
