MTB club ride!

Post by Mr Marmite »

Hello guys and girls,

As the roadies are having a chat about club rides on a weekend I thought I may bring this up for us mucky pups!

I was looking thought the calendar and there's nothing for the MTB people and now as the weather is picking up some I think we should get out bums in the saddle... Currently I don't have the confidence to get you all lost somewhere in them there hills, but I would like to maybe do a ride and share the route finding with someone!

Thanks

Adam,

Thanks for the prompt and apologies for the slow start to the Year!

The dates I have in mind for Sunday MTB club runs are as follows:

17th March
24th March- SW starting from Sutton Bank Visitors Centre 10am
28th April
12th May - SW Rosedale
9th June
30th June - SW Reeth
14th July
28th July
11th Aug
25th Aug
29th Sept
13th Oct
27th Oct
24th Nov

Will need leaders for fast and steady rides.

Simon

I'll happily lead a Steady ride from Sutton Bank at 10am on the 17th.

Considering this time of year, it'll be around 4 hours of easy cycling to build a bit of an endurance base for the Summer.
And with a cafe stop for lunch, perhaps at Hawnby or Osmotherley.

Sorry Simon, didn't want to come across as a nagging old goat...

Theses a fair few dates so looking forward to getting out, I may try lead one or two middle to later part of the year!

Adam - No problem :)

Carl - I can't do 17th now, so have moved my ride to the 24th March. Are you still OK to cover the 17th?

Yes, sure Simon.
I'll cobble together a Steady-ish ride that meets somewhere different to Sutton Bank. The details will be posted on the 11th.
