Social Day/Night 18th Sept

Post by Rich »

Hi All

It's been a while since we last had one of these.

The plan is this:-

Outdoor go-karting at Tockwith during the day, for the evenings entertainment a trip to the knavesmire for the Camra beer & cider festival. £5 entry (5-11pm)

Then go for a curry if we're still standing.

I think for the evening we can see who turns up and go from there.

I've spoken to the ProAm Karting and at the moment we have 2 options

Iron Man Race starts at 4.15 pm

This is an individual endurance. Each driver takes part in a 15-minute practice/qualifying session followed by a 45-minute race. Up to 14 drivers in one race.

Cost £45 per driver

OR

2hr endurance race starting at 1.30pm, this is an open race so we'll be racing against people we don't know.

A 2-hour endurance for teams (2 - 5 drivers per kart). There is practice/qualifying of 15 minutes followed by a 1¾hour race. Up to 14 teams/karts.

Cost £135 per kart

For more info follow this link

http://www.proam-karting.co.uk/

Please let me know by Friday 3rd Sept if you you're interested in the go-Karting as availability may change.

If we don't see you at the Karting hopefully see you at the beer festival.

Cheers

Up for both/either depending on everyone else.

How about a girls v boys enduro? It's about time the boys won something this year.

Love the idea (tho boys v girls might mean some boys need to wear pink to keep numbers even?!) but it's the chain reaction at Ruthin that weekend... Not sure how many others doing it but I am planning to...

Right guys

we're in the endurance race starting at 1.30pm, we need to be there 15-20 mins before for the briefing.

I've booked two karts for the six of us, this gives us about 40mins each on the track.

Works out at £45 each

Lisa + 1
Me
Ian
Chris
Paul

There's still karts available, Anymore takers?

I'm going to finalise the numbers on Friday so if your interested let me know.

Cheers

Myself and Nicola are up for beer and curry. What time do you expect to be at the Knavesmire?
