Wheldrake delivered another very pleasant evening for a time trial tonight, with the heat of the day dissipating in the face of a gentle breeze that didn't quite deliver any hoped-for tailwind on the homeward leg. And a tailwind would definitely have helped tonight, since some muppet managed to place the finish board a few hundred metres further down the road than where it should have been (so if you are scratching your head over your longer time despite feeling quite good on the course, many apologies, my fault!)

Very many thanks go to Ian and Craig for marshalling us round the course, to Dave and Rob for time keeping (start and finish respectively), and to Rebecca for stepping in at short notice to act as pusher off. Much appreciated, all of you :)

Many thanks to Martin for, once again, stepping into the breach and organising for the fourth time this year! The pressure was obviously getting to him though as he managed to put the finish in the wrong place giving us all an extra 0.35 of a mile extra value for money!

Thanks also to Craig and Ian for marshalling and to Becca for pushing off.

Another great turnout with 25 competitors on a lovely warm summer’s evening. Congratulations to Dave B for recording the fastest time on the night and to everyone who pinned on a number and gave it their all.

Next week’s event is a 10 mile on the V511 course which starts and finishes on the A163 between Bubwith and North Duffield. A fast and flat course which will suit the purists!

I must stress that we need at least 4 marshals for this event as there are two roundabouts on the course, each requiring two marshals.

The sign on area will be at the North Duffield Carrs nature reserve car park which is situated roughly half way between Bubwith and North Duffield on the left coming from North Duffield.

Looking forward to another good turnout!
