Hailstones the size of golf balls (well, maybe garden peas) and the threat of more to come heralded the start of our time trial season...but as is often the case, it turned out to be a very pleasant evening with a blindingly golden sun setting in a clear blue sky as those brave enough to take a gamble with the weather flew round the Sutton course. If you were one of the 29 riders, you'll have left Dave's capable hands, and passed David, Laura, John, and Ian who were marshaling the course - many thanks to these five for looking after us all! You'll also have screamed your race number at our timekeepers Bernard and Jennie - many thanks to you two for keeping track of everyone and deciphering the handwriting of all the shivering competitors!

Thanks for your organisation, Martin and for keeping the weather dry but cold!
Thanks to Dave for pushing off, Jennie and Bernard for timekeeping duties and the marshals for standing out in the cold so that we could keep warm.

29 was an excellent turn out for the season opener on a cold evening.

Congratulations to Richard Sharp on first place on the night and to everyone who pinned a number on their back and had a go. A still, clear night ensured some fast times and some excellent racing.

It's also great to see so many younger members coming out to race and also older ones who are racing for the first time. The amount of interest we are receiving from people wanting to join in is extremely encouraging and bodes well for the rest of the season.
