A few of the old regulars from the 08:45 have fed back that the rides have got too fast for them over the summer. The rides have generally ridden at the pace of the group arriving in the Square; however, it has become a bit of a "catch 22" if only those wanting a fast ride are attending. The 08:45 is designated as a fast social ride, to be ridden at 18+mph in a group, and should be accessible to all members of the club comfortable with this. It is not the training ride and the "sociable" part of the ride means that everyone on the ride will be accommodated with the group getting around the whole route together (going at a pace that is comfortable for all over the distance) - the ride should be an enjoyable challenge :) and not something to be endured  . If you have missed a few rides, or want to come along, please give the 08:45 a try, it is the efficient way of getting a good ride in on Saturday morning and still having the afternoon for other things.

Forecast for tomorrow is a strong northerly, so plan is to head out to via Castle Howard Drive again and head up to Rievaux. We will come down Sutton Bank and catch a ride with the wind back into York. 08:45 start, 68 miles square to square so aim to be back in York by 13:00.
