Watched the weather forcast Friday night, not bad I thought for Saturday, so decided to attend the Saturday Cafe ride. So I set off Saturday morning with no wind, pleasant sunshine looking forward to a long ride.I knew the possbilities of floods in certain areas was high but crossed my fingers. Got as far as Cawood looking pretty bad, Stillingfleet not too bad, but at Naburn there was no way through except to swim. The detour would have taken too long to arrive for 10am so decided against the long ride and headed back home covering about 40 miles or so. But then I thought, Naburn might have been the least of my problems what about York itself. What was it like? Anyone?

York itself is fine. That bridge in Naburn always floods. Probably worth planning on coming up the bike path instead? (usually the exit to the path is clear of the flood)
