Sounds like a plan, Jon.
Yes, there was a ride last week, decent turnout and we headed out toward Jordan's Moss and How Stean Gorge, however, I think we missed a turn somewhere around Fearby. Since it was getting late, we stopped in Masham. Standard route back through Ripon, Boroughbridge and Aldwark.
It was a great day out, despite a thankfully brief, torrential shower as we left Ripon on the homeward stretch. Some of us not having capes didn't dampen our spirit, with Matt leading the group into song with "If you're happy and you know it..." and my response with "I'm singing in the rain..."
BTW, the "closed" railway bridge on Station Lane / Shipton Low Road is now passable to pedestrians and cyclists, but not vehicular traffic. We came back that way last Saturday, and Rich and I crossed the bridge again on Tuesday.

I'm not around this weekend - have a good ride. Incidentally the Sunday ride over the Fleak will be an excellent day out - assuming fair weather - so if anyone has the option of riding on either Saturday or Sunday, do consider this.

The railway bridge on Station Lane / Shipton Low Road is CLOSED again.
On the eastern side of the bridge, the padlocked fencing is installed in such a way to prevent people sneaking over to cross the bridge
