A trip around osmotherley for the inters on Saturday. 12 set off, Dave B left us at the top off White horse Bank which left. Myself, Dave C, Ian H, Graham, Kevin N, James, Joe, Jai, Arnie, Rich and newcomer Steve. Managed to avoid the worst of the weather going out. it started drizzling whilst in the café and never got too bad however we seemed to ride on ever increasingly wet roads towards York where they had some heavier rain. pretty muddy too. Special mention to newcomer Steve who did well for someone whose only being riding a short time. and also to the Legend which is Arnie P, I hope i am still riding as strongly in my future years. Pretty much standard route around and apart from the regular regrouping stops no issues. Found out however that the railway bridge near shipton that we use regular is closed until October as I was going to come back that way but Rich and Dave C informed me otherwise. not sure how this will effect any future rides in that direction as that route generally avoids the A19. I hope to be out next week and was going to suggest a trip east as its the into the west ride the week after. Not sure how people feel about Brid or Filey as some went to Whitby the previous week. alternatively we could do Cockayne, Any ideas most welcome

Personally I tend to use the A19 these days as it's considerably more direct....

Having done some research on the inter web it's the bridge we turn left onto at the T junction before joining the road to tollerton and past beniborough hall it's on station lane. The road into shipton on beniborough To get round it you would have to stay on the A19 longer and turn left further up.
