Just a quick note to say well done to all those who rode this on Saturday, I made it York back to York 115 miles so sorry for those in the A group who got lost and did at least another 10 miles, and for those in the K group for the off road section ( unplanned), near on the descent down into the Trent Valley from Burton on Stather. ( we should have taken the second right and stuck to tarmac roads).
Also well done to Morgan Arriss who rode it on an unfamiliar bike - his dads!!

What an amazing ride, Legs definitely on the way back. all in all 131 Miles with an average speed of 17.2 mph. directions where spot on in quietly adding a little extra miles(very stealthy of you john!!

).
I have to say well done to everyone especially to both Ben the young rider who completed his first century PLUS

ride today finishing strong and well on the way to mastering the cycling poker face ( Looking graceful when infact legs in agony and are about to go BOOM

) and Arnold who for the last miles of the ride got on the front and just wouldn't slow down below 18-19 mph. on a steel bike !!! with us the carbon bikers hanging on behind him.
Its funny towards the end how clear it becomes that this isn't just a battle of endurance, it's a battle of sheer will and at times ego too !!!!
Well done to everyone and keep pedaling.
Fish and chips next Saturday !!
