There is a trend developing here and certainly something worthy of wider discussion. In year 1 as TT sec I'm very much on a learning curve re the running of the series, circuits etc. Thanks to everyone's help & encouragement I am feeling comfortable in the role.
There is no reason why we shouldn't try new courses. Certainly the first flat 10 of the season was well subscribed and the numbers drop off with the other hilly circuits. I think we need to develop courses which attract competitors rather than put them off because its in the 'too difficult' category. I'm also conscious the series is male dominated and we need to encourage female members.
Let's give the subject some thought/debate, run with the rest of the series as it is and come up with some ideas for next season. I'm still keen to run a 'easy come and try it' event with prizes on the night for different, even whacky categories.
We have a cracking series with a fantastic social spirit. Time to lift it up a level!
Kind regards David
