Thanks to everyone today for a very enjoyable event. Autumnal temperature day, but blue skies and happy faces.
Great turnout of riders and spectators for the 15th running of the Club Hill Climb at Bishop Wilton (it used to be held on Milking Hill, near Yearsley before that - that was only a 2 minute climb)
Results below & here are but a few observations:
- how many events do we (or anybody) have an age range from 12 yrs to 74 yrs?
- youngsters certainly stole the day with low body weight, high heart rates and high pain threshhold
- Arny continues to be a hero, posting incredible times, now at 74yr
- Big well done to all the Category Winners
- Eugene won the event again in exactly the same time as last year!
- funniest moment when Dr Joe powered off from the start as I was still counting down and nearly dragged Andy off up the hill with him
- Great stuff from Lauryn - first lady, and Junior Lady record!
- Well done to Douglas for having another shot at the hill after his chain coming off
- Thanks to all the helpers: AndyG; DaveC; Eric; Steen; MarkB; IanH; Dave I'A; Siobhan & Edith
- Thanks for cake bakers, Siobhan and Edith, you all donated £11 for Cancer Research

Re: Weekend Roundup 4/5 Oct - Club Hill Climb
Thanks to Claire, Rob, and the team for organising and running the event once again. The cafe at Millington in the sun was more pleasant than the pain. Lisa and the newborn met us there for his first cafe stop but he stuck to milk. In about 16 years time he may be ready to compete for victory. By then Eugene (congratulations on the win) will be in his early thirties and maybe women and booze will have taken there toll
Thanks to those that shouted encouragement and well done to all for giving it a go.

Just to echo the thanks to Claire, Rob & everyone, a truly enjoyable event, ( how the memory of the self inflicted pain recedes!). Such inspirational riders, from the youngest through to 'hard as nails' Arny. Makes one feel reet proud to be a member

Re: Weekend Roundup 4/5 Oct - Club Hill Climb
As the Club signs and equipment go into hibernation for the Winter, I notice we are still missing our Race number '24'.
Can I ask Rory Oliver, or anyone who sees him, to PM me please so we can arrange collection of the number to keep us in a full set.
Andy J - do you see Rory?
Thanks all, Have fun,
Claire
