08:45 Saturday 6th September - a bit further than usual

We (I) will be starting the 08:45 ride from a different location on Saturday: Lands End.

We have an excellent route planned which will take us the 969 miles North to John o'Groats and we expect to be back in York for 1pm (on Monday 15th September). Andy Myers is signed up to join me, along with 798 other participants.

For those of you that would like a slightly shorter (and more practical) ride, Gerard will be leading the ride for the next two weeks. Wind forecast to be coming from the North, so a route out to Helmsley/Ampleforth looks to be a good option if it remains dry.

I am raising money for British Paralympics and would greatly appreciate your encouragement to complete this event. If you would like to sponsor my efforts, please visit my VirginMoneyGiving page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/MikeRogers3

I do hope the prevailing wind is coming from the right direction mike as most of your routes are dictated by it

But seriously good luck with the ride, you too andy
