As you'll all be aware there's no SPOCO next Thursday since you'll all be in advanced stages of Tour Fever by then. However the one the following week still has no organiser! Please can someone put their hand up to run this one? As previous organisers will testify, it's not a major deal, you get a full set of instructions, and it's good fun watching others suffer.
Furthermore please can we have a volunteer by the end of next week - I'll not be around on the couple of days prior to the event and I've got all the signage and equipment here, and I'll need to shift it into the hands of the lucky recipient!

Phil,
I'm happy to volunteer as event organiser with a health warning I am very new to the club and so it is all unfamiliar territory at the moment. If someone is willing to 'buddy up' with me, no problem. I've no idea about time keeping etc.is that another element or the responsibility of the organiser? Also living in the sticks at Yearsley we would have to arrange hand over of 'stuff'. I know the area like the back of my hand so local knowldege re routes, junctions etc is not problem.
There, I've stuck my head above the parapet. More than happy to help out bt would be happy with a 'wise head' in support.
Finally many thanks to everyone for being so welcoming and encouraging. Despite being rubbish at it I am thoroughly enjoying the TT events. The only way is up!
kind regards David

David, that's excellent. The very wonderful Bernard is down for timekeeping at that event so you don't have to worry about that aspect of it. The remaining "to-do" list - signage, on the night risk assessment and running the "Event HQ" is all set out pretty concisely in the organiser's ring-binder. That circuit requires two marshals plus a pusher-offer; there are currently two vounteers so please can we have one more - someone who's organised/marshalled previously so can give David a hand pre-start? If someone puts their hand up for that, I'll sort out with you getting the equipment/paperwork across.

Cheers Phil, just back from Le tour weekend at Reeth, Cote de Grinton moor. Awesome! Looks like handover of 'stuff' problematic. I will be cycle commuting to work tomorrow. Can we have a phone call tomorrow morning to sort something out re handover of everything?
Cheers David

Ok guys and gals, I have a car load of singns and stuff but no idea who is helping with the marshalling. I will get everything set up and work on the theory that marshals ( and competitors) will appear at the appropriate time. I understand Bernard has kindly volunteered to time keep.Is there somewhere on the forum where these things are logged? Any way, looking forward to my first stab as 'event organiser'. I will do my best. See you there!
David
