David Millar Project at City Screen, Tues 1st July
Posted: Fri Jun 06, 2014 5:35 pm
Some of you will be aware that a feature film is being made during David Millar's final year in pro cycling - described as "an immersive film capturing the very essence of professional cycling". Well, we've got the director and producer, along with raw footage from the film, the trailer, and a previous short by the same director, plus a Q&A with the director and Rob Hayles, former Cofidis team-mate of Millar, all happening at City Screen on 1st July at 6pm.
There will be a prize draw, with prizes including a Retul bike fit by Cycle Heaven, Picturehouse membership, and various Millar-related goodies yet to be disclosed - so bring some loose change! The screening will be in one of City Screen's theatres and we'll then head down to their Basement Bar for the Q&A.
The project has a website at http://www.davidmillarfilm.com/ and City Screen's booking page is at http://www.picturehouses.co.uk/cinema/Y ... ial_Guest/ and for those of you who do Twitter you can follow developments at @DavidMillarFilm
For those of you who like a bit of cycle racing with your film, or vice-versa, it should be an interesting evening. If you have, or know anyone who has, five grand or more with nothing better to do then there are opportunities to invest in the project, which will be explained on the night. Action!
