In an effort to publicise the Fete du Tour weekend BBC Radio York will be broadcasting from Your Bike Shed from 1pm onwards on the afternoon of Friday 30h May - ie Friday week if you're reading this live and not on iPlayer.
In addition to talking to Mike Hughes about his upcoming heroics for Marie Curie (not to mention his current and ongoing heroics in raising the necessary £19k sponsorship - http://www.warekay.co.uk/news-updates/f ... loton.aspx ) - the Beeb are keen to talk to cyclists of all persuasions. They'll have plenty of middle-aged blokes in lycra (including me) so they're keen to chat to families, women, children and teenagers, in fact anyone who is happy to talk about the Tour de France and what it means to have it on our doorstep this year.
It would be really good if lots of you could call in sometime on that Friday afternoon - just to show that Clifton is a varied bunch of people. YBS do nice coffee and cake too.
