Thank you to the Saturday, 8.45 riders

At 17 miles I was 'dropped' and despite you all being very kind and slowing down a bit, I could seed where it was heading and decided to peel away and head home. Certainly I need to add some more miles to the legs before I can stay in the peleton. But I thoroughly enjoyed it and the couple of chaps that I did speak with were extremely decent and made me feel very welcome. Thank you.

Hopefully I will return in a few weeks when I've managed a few more solo rides and charged the legs up a bit.

Anyway, once again, thank you. Top people!

Glad you enjoyed what you did.if it makes you feel any better.today's ride was quite a bit faster than it usually is.probably due to there being a few quick lads today.keep at it and it will all come together soon

I've not done the 8'45, not sure what it's meant to be, I think it's a kinda watered down training ride?... it looks like you've jumped straight in with a fairly brisk group though, and there are other group rides which may suit, then progress up to this ride.

Cheers, guys, that has made me feel a lot better. If anyone has any recommendations on a ride that may be more suitable, I'd really appreciate it as there are a few different rides and I didn't know which one to go with.

But for those that can handle 50ish miles at a brisk pace with no stops, it is a great ride and I stronly recommend it. For the (small) bit that I rode, it felt great!!!! Something to aim for.

You need to do the 10am 'k' ride which is kept at a sensible pace and as a cafe stop and totals anywhere from 50 mile to 70 mile depending on time of year. However it does require a commitment to be out most of the day which the 845 ride eliminates for those who can't commit to a full days riding. :)
