If you haven't helped out at an evening time trial before, it's good fun. You get to see a thriving aspect of the club, meet new people and learn new skills in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. It all takes place in beautiful countryside, and who knows it might make you want to start competing. I did (although in my case, maybe 'competing' is too strong a word)
