Recently a member of the club returned to his car he'd parked at Clifton Park and Ride only to find a note on it saying that he'd be fined £50 if he did it again. I was astonished to hear that and contacted David Short, who's York City's cycling officer who confirmed that car drivers are allowed to park n pedal, in fact the City Council are about to launch a Park n Pedal campaign which I think is great. If anyone has any problems with the bus company he's happy to be contacted.

Anyway, I just thought you might want to know that.

Interestingly I met Steve Gore-Browne there one deserted, snowy Sunday morning for a local MTB ride. We got a right mouthful from the uneducated operative about being on bikes.
No reason why, just abuse as we were standing where a bus might arrive.
(There were no buses)

We just laughed and rode off, I assume he went back to his tabloid rag and a knock-off cigarette.

Excellent customer service as I've come to expect with the bus company in York.
