Forecast once again looks good for Saturday (although it's still a long time away in forecasting terms). No race for me on Sunday so I'll be out. I'm assuming that anyone who wants straightforward speed work will be doing the chaingang so I suggest another lumpy ride - Malton/Terrington?

("Hopefully I'll be around for next week - (hope you don't do the Malton circuit)". Give it a go, Broomwagon - you were fine on the hills to the west!)

Been a long time since I've been all the way round this route - see you in the square at 9 :) Where does the route go again Phil? I think I can remember 3/4 of the way round, but fancy looking at a map to reassure myself :)

Racing on Sunday so won't be out.

Anyone using Strava (see above) take it easy on the Malton Climb as it's my most prized KOM!

I'm not out as working AGAIN! :( :(

On the plus side I've got tickets to see the Women's Olympic road race on Sunday so will be standing on the Mall cheering on Nicole, Lizzie et al :D

Have a good one, if the weather stays like this it should be excellent...

Eh?..that certainly wasn't me.

I'll be off the back on the first rise. I shall have a pootle on my own this week and maybe see who's out on Sunday too. Hopefully see you next week instead.

A select (ie small) group out this morning - four of us comprising AndyM, triathlete John, NickB and me. A fairly sunny ride albeit with a stiff southwesterly whih powered the outward run to Malton at impressive speed but made the return hard work. By the time we'd ground our way up the long drag out of Malton, Andy and Nick were officially designated as the frontmen and they did an excellent job of towing us round the rest of it. 21.5mph for the out-of-town bit, and over 230W despite a fair bit of following wheels!
