I think both will be on, unless anyone else knows otherwise?
18:15 for the Clifton one, and 18:30(?) for the Cycleworks one I believe.
If you're on the Clifton one, see you there!

Will put an application in for permission for a pass. How many out on Clifton? How fast/organised?? Back 7.40ish to roundabout?
Cheers again

Did the Clifton last week, felt fast to me but I am getting old, and they all feel fast now.

The number of riders on the Clifton one is usually around 8-10ish I think, with the first half at about 20-21mph and the second half ramps up to average around 26 or 27mph. Or at least that's how it was a few weeks ago when I was last out. And should be back to the roundabout by around 7:40pm. See you there!

There's usually a few more than that who head out, with about 7-8 working really well together on the way back.
im out tonight, looking forward to it, a welcome break from revision!

So Reuben, that was your first one eh?! What did you think to it!? Pretty fast on the way back as normal with just the occasional lull in pace when someone let the wheel go without telling the guy ahead. Not always easy as it's probably done because the person missing a turn is breathing out of their ears at that point. By the same token if someone has missed a few and decides to come back in you really ought to warn the rider you're jumping in front of as he won't be expecting it.
For those who race, and that felt like the majority there, if you were going through and not missing turns then you can ride in a break during a race. It would only be a little harder as breaks don't tend to have that many riders pulling. As I said to Tim, the other task is getting off the front in the first place and not being so knackered as to need to slow down - hence getting caught! There isn't a hard and fast rule for when to attack but fortune favours the brave so just have a bash!
Good luck to those racing this week, see you in a fortnight.

I enjoyed it Damian. Missed a few turns due to aforementioned "blowing out of my ears" but mostly was up with the 8 or so rotating at the front. I had 21 on way out and 26 on way back with 23.5 for the full thing which isn't too shabby for a "training" ride!
Thought the overall standard was safe and tidy. Wasn't too worried about lack of calls because I could see and hear that a lot of people were suffering but bad hazards were still pointed out and there was nothing dangerous. Think I only saw one or two riders who were regularly switching but then heard Andy give them a bit of a shout so hope they learn.
Although the Clifton run is shorter, I would say it is actually a bit harder than the Cycleworks equivalent on the few times I have done that one because the average pace is higher and we stuck to regular rotations. Cycleworks seems to turn into a long line of riders clinging on to a small number of very strong riders pulling at the front.
Good luck to everyone riding on Thursday!

Clifton line-out is harder, no doubt about that.

Hope so. Just mind the olympic torch on your way by, burnt lycra isn't comfy.
