Anyone racing tommorow?
Are there any other circuits locally that could host this? Would be a real shame to lose most of this series.Neil Hendry 10 May 10:24
Urgent News !!!!
Tockwith Tuesday maybe on hold as we’ve lost the use of the main track due to the council and the venue, Mr Simon Moore (owner) has told us that he had a meeting with Harrogate Borough Council Planning yesterday and that (however ridiculous it may sound) they told him that our cycling events are deemed to be "noisy" events and as such are included within the maximum quota of events he is permitted to run on the main circuit each year. He did say that he was determined to fight this ruling and that he would soon be making a Planning Application for cycle events, but that this could take up to 6 to 8 weeks for a decision.
He has offered us the Go Kart track but I feel this is not suitable for our use but the other promoting clubs need to decide too, So i’ll have a 100% answer by the weekend. So the summer circuit series could be put on hold until further notice. Sorry.........

Tockwith Tuesday meetings are now CANCELLED ! due to the owner having planning/noise/council issues so our races have to stop as from now until he can get this issue resolved.
So please pass this around to anybody who you may think will turn up this coming Tuesday 15th May. It should be on the BC website soon tooas cancelled
On a plus side we're out now looking for new venues to hold a few events this summer still, Sherburn is one and also another couple of venues are in the process too, so please be patient and fingers crossed we'll have some great news within a few days and we may be back racing within a week or two.....
Many Thanks for your support & understanding

Can I also use the opportunity to flag up the Clifton/Cycleworks/Malton-organised Thursday 17th May evening road race series which starts at Bishopwood next Thursday (Cat 4 only). Due to inevitable problems getting all the approvals it only made it onto the BC website very late in the day, and as a consequence we're short of entries for the first event. If you know of clubmates or other riders, or if you have any way of putting the word out about the series then I'd be massively grateful. We set them up on Thursdays to avoid any conflict with the Tockwith events and hopefully if the circuit series can be saved they'd continue to work well as complementary weekday events. events "after" Thurs 17th are Cat 3/4
