When i was a lad it was 47 (steel cottered) teeth * 26 and I used to look forward to Cycling Weekly arriving in the days when they sent reporters out to time trials

I suspect there is some "history" to original post but when i read it assumed was "tongue in cheek" and thought it was quite funny.

Just as a postscript to this I was chatting to Andrew Askwith from Bridlington cc at the Harrogate Nova cc tt on saturday. He is organising their 25 tt later in the year and within that he hopes to run a non aero category (basically no disc wheels or aero bars/wheels and probably a steel frame) so if anyone fancies dusting of their old classic racer this could be a good opportunity (How about that flying gate of yours Mark?)
I have quite a nice steel framed 70's Olmo that I bought from Tony Boswell that might fit the bill!
