Dear All
Thanks to those members who attended the second Open Evening to acquire the new Clifton CC kit.
We are now working with York Cycleworks to agree the stock we will carry for the season of 2012, once the order is placed we do not expect to place another or with Endura until September. Whilst we would like to be able to stock a large range or garments in all sizes it is not possible, we therefore have to decide (best guess) what the demand will be and what sizes will be required.
The following is a list of stock that will be on general sale from March on a first come first served basis. Once these garments are sold, it will be Winter before further stock arrives. There may be up to 100 members who have not yet purchase new kit, so there could be a mad rush in March. We are trying to avoid anyone being disappointed once the summer comes and people want to buy summer clothing, and understand that the timing straight after Christmas is not ideal but we have had to weight this up against receiving the order before the racing season starts prober at Easter.

So let me get this straight. You post on the afternoon of the19th detailing the entire stock of kit to be available from the shop for the whole on the season and expect all members to have placed orders for items of kit they want to order from Endura by noon the following day - the 20th!!

To compound this the closing date is wrongly given as Friday the 17th and the stock list on the above posting is different to the one listed on the club kit web-page you link to.

Sorry but this is hopeless! People need at least some notice of the closing date by which orders need to be in by, or the shop needs to carry stock of almost all items in almost all sizes so that people missing the closing date for ordering (eg those on holiday?) can get what they want from the shop.

Sorry to be critical and respect to those putting in effort but ? this hadn't been thought through....

I must admit I'm a little confused by this. When I was in the shop last week there was quite a bit of kit on display, are we now being told we can't buy this until March?

Communication to club members regarding the winter order was posted on the discussion board as sticky items in December, in addition the weekly update emailed to all members on the 12th January again mentioned the clothing evening. Apologies to those who missed these notices, if there is a more effective method of communicating to club members please post with the details.

We would like to be able stock every garment in ever size which would be 45 garments. But practically is not possible and would nt meet the needs of all.

Our challenge and it is a difficult one is to give ALL members an opportunity to purchase clothing, there are 250+ members assuming we stock tops & shorts for 100 the value would be just short of £8,000 in don't think any retailer of the club would be prepared to invest this sort of cash.

The alternative is to ask members to pre order any pay...and hold some stock or is there another way?

How do we know who's going to want kit when the sun comes out?

Yes there is some stock in Cycleworks now which is available to all.
