Checking in!

Post by WillMarsh »

Hey guys,

I'm going to be studying at the University of York, starting this September, and was looking to get involved with Clifton CC to do some of the social rides on a weekend.

I come from a running background, but really enjoy cycling and tend to find it goes hand in hand with the running and am therefore looking to get more involved in some road cycling.

I've been doing a bit over the summer, and bought myself a carbon bike to make the roads even more enjoyable. I am now worried, however, about storing my bike at University given the risk of it being stolen.

I was therefore wondering if someone would be kind enough to allow me to store my bike in their garage or something equivalent? I'd be willing to pay something if needed - it would just make me feel a lot easier about bringing my bike to Uni.

Thanks in advance,

Will

Can't you store it in your room? I store 2 in my very small room and on top of that am in Manchester city center, and in 3 years have had nout nicked.

Plan B Will. You prob won't want to be riding your best carbon bike through the winter salt and grit, so source a proper winter bike. Choose one in somber dark colours, and lock it with two decent U-locks. Then bing your pride and joy to York in the spring when you've worked out the lie of the land in College.
