Helpers needed for the last 2 Spocos

Post by stevesavage »

Dawn and I are the organisers for the last 2 Spocos. To avoid any last minute appeals and/or cancellations we would like to have names against all the roles for the next 2 weeks. Please note that there are limited opportunities. Once the roles are filled we will turn people away so if you want to qualify get in early as first come first served.

Please reply to this post or PM me with your preference:
21 July (Whenby)
Organiser - Steve
Start T/K - Bernard
Finish T/K - Steve
Pusher off - Mark Dent
Turn 1 (Whenby) - Mac and Trevor J
Turn 2 (Bransby) - Brendan
Turn 3 (Stillington) - Michael C

28 July (Bulmer)
Organiser - Dawn
Start T/K - Simon Donoghue
Finish T/K - Bernard
Pusher off - Dave l'Anson
Turn 1 (Bulmer/Ganthorpe) - Greg and/or Martin H
Turn 2 (Terrington) - Mac

I mentioned I'd do this one to Dawn a couple of weeks ago. I did Turn 2 (Bransby) for the open race so I can do this again if you like.

Steve

Happy to help out next week - I live just off the course on the road from Whenby about 1/2 mile before the Brandsby turn - so easy for me to make it. Don't know whether you are aware - but they are doing some work on the Bransdby water supply - and the road for the last mile before Brandsby has several holes , bumps and barriers - not ideal - will need to be very careful as it is restricted, gravely and has more holes than usual ! What joy.

With Simon's message, maybe put me down for Turn 3 (Stillington) instead?

Rode the whenby TT course last night _ they are resurfacing road between brandsby and stillington - no marking and about an inch of loose gravel - might settle down by next week by slippy on the corners and heavy at the moment.
