Open Time Trial Saturday 2 July

I really enjoyed riding the Whenby course last night and if you enjoyed it too or missed out last night how about taking part in the Open Time Trial.

I've only had a trickle of entries so far so just wanted to remind you that the closing date is Tuesday 21 June. You cannot just turn up and enter on the line like our Spoco events.

Event details in the latest update; in the Cliftonite; or here
http://www.cliftoncc.org/competition/open_13

I also need help with marshalling the course and need to get a firm commitment from 6 or 7 club members so I know the event can go ahead.

What is involved?
You need to be able to spare a couple of hours on 2 July. Be able to get to Flaxton village hall about 1pm. The event will be finished by about 4pm.
Your job is to indicate the route the rider is to follow. There is no requirement to stop or control traffic in any way.
Enjoy some tea and cakes after the event.

Please let me know if you are able to help. If you have any questions drop me a PM.

Thanks

I'll marshal. I'll still be knackered by then so riding would be pointless.

I do occasionally know where I've been; but rarely where I am going!

Kev just emailed me one. Thanks Kev!

I STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH MARSHALLING / PUSHING OFF

I need to get a firm commitment from about 6 or more club members so I know the event can go ahead safely.

What is involved?

Please reply to this thread if you are able to help.

Well done Steve for a smoothly-run event today, and many thanks to Dawn for spending a sunny afternoon indoors and cranking out tea and excellent cakes. Thanks too to all the marshals for helping make it happen and full marks to Mac for running the "quickest to the first corner" contest!

Many thanks to timekeeper Dave Bishop (City RC Hull) and all marshals and helpers without whom the event would not have been possible:
Mick McCormick, Virginie Harrison, Greg Melia, Mike Carter, Claire, Rob and Siobhan, Ian Hagyard, Tom Flemming, Bernard Turgoose, Seb Crane and Dawn.

Thanks to all the riders for supporting this event and for raising £49 on behalf of St Leonard’s Hospice York.
