Hi All

I've been asked to lead your June Club Run!

We're heading up into the Dales and will start at Castle Bolton (nr Leyburn not Bolton Castle!). Meet at 10am for a 10:15am start.

Steph is trying to find someone to lead a steadier ride from the same start point.

This is a fairly long ride and bizarrely for me probably won't feature a cafe stop so please bring enough food and drink for yourself (and some spare for me  ).

Please post if you are coming.

Thanks
Debs

Hi

Just for a bit of clarity - as I seem to be getting a number of PM's on this. The ride is c5hours mainly on open dales land. Some of it I have ridden before, some of it I haven't....so the time estimate could be way out. lol.

In addition to food pls bring waterproof jacket as the showers seem to be quite heavy and I'm guessing it'll be quite exposed on some of the ride.

Steph will post if she manages to get someone to lead a steadier ride (any volunteers???).

Fentonflyer - look forward to meeting you on Sunday - if you have any other Q's pm me. :)

Hi everyone.

I have had a load of questions about the steady ride.
As im on rest time ready for mountain mayhem next weekend i thought i would offer to guide the steady ride and also include some skills based training for those that would like to do a bit.
The ride is 20 miles but can be cut to just 15 if we want.
The pace will be kept nice and steady and no one will get dropped.
There is 2 cafes & 3 pubs on the way. (those that did the easter ride with me know we can get them all in :P )
There is 2 climbs to do but they are on tarmac the rest is all nice rolling bridleway.
See you all sunday

A great little ride out for our group as we followed the sun to the first cafe stop, once the horrid climb was out of the way it was across the moor heading back, with the sun gone and the rain chassing us and catching us 20 mins from the end the 2nd cafe stop was dropped and crisps and cakes in the back of my van was had at the finish.
A beer in Layburn and some good chat was had on the way home.
a great day out.
