Saturday rides ?

Post by bernard turgoose »

If tomorrow morning is like todays, will anyone be out ?
Hopefully I will be giving the roads a try with some care, does anyone else want to give it a go & work up an appetite for Christmas lunch?

Forecast is for minus 4 and foggy. I would like to get out for a bit in the morning and could aim to be at the square for 9 if any of the training ride crowd intend giving it a go on mainish gritted roads. could do the same ride as last week???

Could end up at the pub in Naburn to meet Kevin too....

Not planning on being out myself - "minus four and foggy" doesn't sound like the weather for a long ride in the middle of a block of training. But I was lucky and got sixty miles done on Wednesday (still took me a day and a couple of afternoon naps to recover, and it was above zero then). The turbo beckons - go easy if you decide to get Out There...

There's a small part of me that feels my masculinity is called into question if I don't MTFU so I kinda feel I should give it a go!

So it looks as if it is going to be very cold, even at 10.00; so I suggest that we give it a go subject to there being no change over night. We can keep to well used & gritted roads & hopefully make our way back via Naburn & catch up with the walkers for lunch.
If it does change that I will be one of the walkers with Kevin.

I will be at the square at 11am for the walk with Kevin, it would be nice if there was a few more there, who else is up for it?.

I'm going to try and ride tmrw. If it's really icy I can always give the MTB a run out. I'll aim to be at the square for 9 but if noone else is around then will return for the 10 o'clock group.
