Noticed the following on at city screen:
CYCLING TOUR DE FORCE
The greatest of cycling events, The Tour de France, comes to City Screen in HD in a live satellite Q&A chaired by the BBC's Phil Liggett. CHASING LEGENDS (15) follows the race from Monaco through the Pyrenees on to Paris. Thursday 21 October, 8.00pm.

Ah yes, I'd kicked off a thread about this in the Racing & Training forum and meant to copy it across (but failed to)...
It's in Screen 1 (so lots of seats) and tickets are £7.50 with usual discounts for members etc. Trailer at

What did we all reckon to it then? My favourite quote was (as ever) from Jens Voigt - about that crash that ended his Tour - "Apparently I lost fifteen minutes of my memory, but honestly I don't want it back - it would be full of pain".... ...I can think of a few fifteen-minutes-worth I could happily lose!

Thought the film was excellent - and really enjoyed the bit about the split in the peloton in the Camargue. Thought the Q&A was a bit flat - Mark C is a much better rider than he is TV personality - but overall a good evening - and good to see that the film appealed to non-cyclists as well. Not sure I have ever been to a cinema with such a large male audience before !!!

Really enjoyed it. Even the footage we have seen before looked so much better on big screen. Still can't stomach people talking about mr 60%. And if they are now in positions of power in teams ....
