Aiming to get the next Cliftonite out by mid-late October. Deadline for stuff to go in is Sunday 3rd October, that is about 4 weeks from today and the date of the Club Hill Climb (in case you need to get some secret training in).
What sort of things could go in?
Anything cycling related, sport related or that might otherwise be of interest to our members. Articles, Letters, product reviews (e.g you've just bought some new kit and want to tell us about it), event results and reviews, stories, pictures, tips and advice....
What can't go in?
Anything that I feel crosses any boundaries and might be sexist, racist, homophobic, abusive etc - bearing in mind that all ages get a copy.
Controversial is fine (even if it means adding a disclaimer).
Advertising yourself/a business in which you have a personal interest - we have paying advertisers and need to be fair to them. E.g. a sports nutritionist or a bike mechanic can write a piece on nutrition or bike repairs but can't include 'come along to see me and I'll charge you £xxx'. For that, you'll need to pay for an ad!
Formats
Please no Microsoft Publisher files - you need to have Publisher to be able to open them and I don't.
All other common formats are fine - MS Office, OpenOffice, Gif, Jpeg, PDF etc.

All the Cliftonites now posted - they've all gone out 2nd class so give a couple of weeks to arrive, then let me know and I'll send you another one, we always lose 2 or 3. Likewise, anyone who wants extra forms let me know.
Just short of 300 gone out this time - a record! Thanks to everyone who contributed stuff, thanks also to New Earswick post office who were v helpful.
Next one will come out early March, deadline is end Feb - it might be good to include some training/racing articles? you've got plenty of time to think of something....

I've got mine too, thanks to Cath and everyone.
It was good to read Dawn's report on FNRttC. I did the York - Cleethorpes ride last year, my photos of it are here. It was excellent fun so I recommend this year's York ride to everyone, though annoyingly they haven't decided on a date for that yet. When they do, it should appear on fnrttc.blogspot.com

Cliftonite Autumn 2010
Enjoyed the Cliftonite as always and thanks to all who produced it.
However, can anyone explain why the spectators on the front cover are all looking in the opposite direction to the race. Has streaking come back into fashion?
