Just wondered who's doing this on Sunday and what sort of time are people thinking of rolling off the start line and if there are any plans for a group to start off together?

I'm entered and iintend to be at the start for about 0730 for a 0800 start. This is based on last years ride that started about 0730 from the Sq. and with the stop in Leyburn on the way back for approx an hour that we had we arrived back in York for about 1900. Starting from Shipton makes the ride abit shorter so should arrive back at a similar time hopefully.

Also I'm hoping there is a group going round together dont really fancy 200km+ on my own.

See you there

I am planning to ride around pretty slowly. Although I have done some long rides this year, I have been on holiday for a couple of weeks and have only done 3 shortish rides since I got back.

My plan is to get there for 0730h, set off with whoever wants to ride the autobus at 0800h and aim to get back by 2000h (before darkness). Lunch at Tan Hill, with a short stop on the way out and way back, but largely to keep moving. I am hoping to be towed around by Darren N, now that he is an H group regular!

See you all there!

Pete, I dont think the forecast is that bad but I'm like you it could be late call for me if it is bad but it would have to be dreadful for me not to do it. The forecast is for rain to clear Saturday night so it might be just a wet start, but when have forecasts ever been correct :)

I would not mind riding as a group but I wonder if it'll split into a fast/slow group like it did on the PGW2YD, I don't plan on stopping again after Tan Hill apart from the controls to get the stamp or whatever it is and getting back to shipton asap as I want to be back at a decent time to relax and watch some TV.
