Note to all riders: PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE LAY-BY OR ON THE ROAD APPROACHING THE START. Give yourself enough time to find somewhere else to park - e.g. Strensall, Sheriff Hutton or somewhere in the general area.

The ONLY exceptions are those helping with the event and parents bringing younger riders. In these cases - please park in the lay-by if possible and not on the road.

Riders Notes

• Please be careful when warming up in the area around the start. Be considerate of other road users when warming up/parking - we don't want any complaints from local residents.
  
  This event takes place on the public highway - all normal rules of the road apply & riders must obey the Highway Code.
  
  Race marshal's are ONLY there to make sure you go the right way. They can't warn, direct or stop traffic for you - it is up to you to make sure it is safe to proceed. If you have to slow down and stop at a junction then please stop - don't take risks.
  
  The road surface on parts of the course isn't great - there are some nice big potholes etc so be aware.
  
  The head-down riding position is banned.
  
  These notes will be displayed at the start. Any new hazards/notes will be added then.
  
  CLIFTON CC STRONGLY ENCOURAGES ALL RIDERS TO WEAR A HELMET - RIDERS UNDER 18 MUST WEAR A HELMET.

Thanks to Cath and Paul for organising the event last night (and the series).

V enjoyable. Big thanks to all the marshalls and timekeepers too.

For me, I've ridden 3 of these 10s now and have only 7 seconds between my 3 times (last night being the middle one!).

Good to see some improved times being posted, once Mark gets used to his new aerobars and new bike he'll be under 27.


However, my biggest thanks goes to Barbara as I was only able to race with her there to watch/mind Siobhan whilst I rode, so I was very grateful for that.

League table now updated.

I've corrected a few errors in points/names - past 2 wks + 2nd week the Google doc on the website has refused to update from the s/sheet on my PC, meaning entering all the new data by hand which gets a bit tedious after the 1st 25 names or so and a glass of wine...... today, it's updated no problem. Anyone out there who has any idea why it mis-behaves?

Let me know any typos, names mis-spelled etc
