We need volunteers for this event - thanks to those who have already emailed me but we are several people short. Please let me know before Tuesday eve.

Have you got me down as a Marshal? I think I ticked the box for this one on the forms you sent out earlier this year.

The very stressed series organiser has given notice that we're still short of marshals/helpers for this week's SPOCO, and as it stands there will be no this week's SPOCO unless a couple of people from the 50+ who are riding the series put their hands up to help.
This series doesn't run itself! We are a club, not a corporation! A small number of people are giving up lots of time to run the individual events and organise it all, deal with results and league tables. But we need you, the riders, to do your bit, otherwise it just can't happen.
Right, I'll calm down now. If you can help on Thursday please post here, or contact Cath, ASAP. Decision to go ahead / cancel will be made tomorrow.

I now have enough marshal's - I'll be in touch with everyone who has volunteered later this evening.
This is event 5 of 12: lets please make sure we manage to run all 12. There are too many riders now to just 'wing it and hope it'll be alright on the night' - the '10's' need a total of 8 people including the organiser and timekeeper.
Past couple of years we have struggled to get helpers mid-series and suddenly everyone turning up to help on the last 2 or 3 once they've got their 6 rides in - not going to happen this year, people will end up getting turned away and not qualifying.
