I have recently joined and was wondering of i get the free bronze membership of BC?

Yes you do. I just joined (again!) too and went for the silver membership as I've entered some races, but it was discounted as I had the value of the free bronze taken into account

You just select the box when filling in the form on the BC website that says you are a member of an affiliated club and choose the mighty Clifton from the options.
