Dalby Closed

Dalby forest drive has been closed yesterday and reports are that it will be closed until next week.
Conditions of trails are now bad, they were ace while the fresh snow was down and a nice feeling to put the first tyre tracks through them over christmas, but they are now packed ice for most of the trail with the fire roads just the same,
I will keep an eye over the weekend and post when they are looking good again.

Don't be fooled by the thaw in York. The Moors still have lots of snow on them and Dalby is closed and they won't even let you in.
We did a ride on the moors today which ended up mostly on (icy) roads. Despite regular efforts to head off road we were confronted by deep snow patches and large drifts. Nice views though.
We met 2 other riders getting out of their car in Rosedale who'd just been turned away from Dalby and were looking for some off road, in vein.
