Hi There

I've had a few phone enquiries from riders not yet up to the Saturday club rides.

I suggested 'Easy Riders' sounded appropriate for their level, but I wasn't sure of the current calendar / details to pass on.....

I said I'd post on here and if they watch the discussion board, hopefully those organising the rides can feed in any up to date info please?

The following is cut'n'pasted from the most recent email from Willy to the Easy Riders mailing list...

Easy Saturday afternoon rides will start again on October 3rd, leaving Exhibition Square at 1pm.
These rides are suitable for anyone with a properly working bike, lights, weatherproofs, and determination to cycle for approx 3-4 hours at a reasonably leisurely pace, covering 25-30 miles.
Youngsters above age 10 are welcome too, but must bring a responsible adult along.
We will stick to cycle paths and quiet country lanes.
If there are people whose fitness would not permit them to do this reliably please let me know**, as there could be a possibility of a SuperEasy ride, leaving same time.

Cheers,
Willy H

** We'll assume that "let me know" in this instance means "post on here"...

For EasyRides I send out weekly details by Email to everyone on my EasyRider E-list.
So if candidates mail willyh@phonecoop.coop their E-address then they'll be kept in the loop.
EasyRiders sometimes stop, not because they've lost their way, or because of punctures or crashes (touch wood, have not had either) but because sometimes it's great to explore something en-route that's worth exploring.
Last Saturday we had a 10 min recovery session in Selby Abbey, recommended after the gales on the way.
Anyone fed up with chasing round on rides with their tongues hanging scraping the road the whole way (as in Belle Ville Rendezvous) are encouraged to find their legs again with EasyRiders.
