Wow what a tough race and not only for Stacey and I, but for our amazing crew as well.

We had four Clifton members with us, Andrew Johnston, Nathan (his son), Billy Garety (I've probably spelt this wrong again, sorry Billy) and Richard Twigg, plus Stacey's Mum and a friend of ours, Tim Harper. These guys worked and worked before we started, then for the 4 days 10 hours until we finished, nothing was to much trouble.

Along the way they all learnt the meaning of sleep deprivation and the agony and ecstacy of things going right and wrong. Hopefully they all have memories that they will never forget.

For Stacey and I it was how caring they where, at times we where on our 'arses', so even if they where they wouldn't show it. Memories for me on the final night where how long and hard everyone worked to get us to the finish at 0620. Then an hour later, sitting in the hotel like a bunch of locusts at a breakfast buffet with champagne. Everyone, shattered but happy and satisfied with our 106 hours of work.

Clifton really do have some secial people.
