Just to confirm that I will be out Tuesday. With the season getting going properly now ideally I'd like to get a few miles in. I'm not sure how early people can start - I need to be back by 3pm for childcare.

I am coming out tomorrow and I think Mandy and Brian both are, along with one of the girls from time trailing and her husband. I did say meet at the Gallery for a 9.30 start. I can be out anytime, but not too sure about the others.

Hi Gill, 0930 at the Gallery is good, I will have Amanda with me, so if we are to slow will be happy to drop off and lead that part.
Fancied Bulmer bank x 5?

Brian the thought of you leading is so scary.....it will be round the ring road, A64, A1 and M62 as you will have seen sign posts to York!
One vote for Boltby Bank
Looking forward to tomorrow!

7 riders left the square this am - the Tuesday ride is becoming ever more popular!
Gill, Mandy, Brian, Amanda, Nollaig, Dave (Mr Nollaig, a rower), and myself. By the time we left it was nearer 10 than 9:30 - as time was short we followed the route of the Reliability to Coxwold. (I really don't like the Wigginton road much but it does serve to get you 'out there' most efficiently). At Kilburn, Brain and Amanda decided to curtail their trip and head around and back leaving 5 of us with a deadline of Dave's hospital appt at 3:10.
Boltby bank had beome easier in my memory - the reality is that it's still a so 'n so - not that you'd have thought it the way that Dave flew up - clearly demonstrating that rowing does something for your climbing (which should be obvious given the arms/back/legs work-out!).
I really enjoy the up 'n down from Hornby to Helmsley and today was no exception. After a brief lunch stop we headed home via Ampleforth, Yearsley, Alne, Tollerton etc. By this time the hospital appt was looking iffy but a somewhat disorganised attempt at a chaingang had us speeding back to town at a decent speed.
Hope you made it Dave!
PS Not sure where we'll go next week but if anyone fancies 70 briskish miles next Tuesday...........
