Croft TLI 2nd June

Did my second road race at Croft last night. Travelled with Jason again and this week met Rich out there, giving us 3 clifton riders. By the time we signed up, no one was down for the easiest group so we all signed up to the next one up. Ended up being easier at the start with a larger group, Jason put in a few hard turns at the front and I did a bit of work.
Got round 6 (out of 15) laps or so before the group behind caught up and the pace increased. I ended up getting dropped on a corner before Jason joined me shortly after. Rich managed to hold on for a few more laps before he joined us too, leaving us Clifton riders to do a bit of through and off all the way to the finish.
Overall, was a much better experience than last week, with another couple weeks I reckon I could hold the bunch for the whole race then another year or 2 before I could think about sprinting at the finish
Next week's race is being held on the Wednesday. Jason isn't sure if he can make it yet...if anybody else fancies it then I would recommend it, as well as cheekily asking if I could perhaps get a lift! Today is all about resting up for the TT tomorrow, so I'm going to go put my feet up in front of the apprentice.
