Mid Week MTB

Post by Rob »

Just after a bit of feedback really. Was planning to start up again the first week after Easter (Wed 19th April) and running much as the last couple of years, meeting 1900 by Castle Howard Lake. Upto 90 mins riding (depending on daylight) and nothing too technical/scary. Wednesdays as there's no clash with chain-gangs / club events, Castle Howard because its reasonably close and pretty good terrain (surprisingly good if you've not tried before). I thought that every other week would be OK - but if enough of you are keen then it might run itself every week.....

So who's up for it and any comments on the above?

Rob
I'm keen but I will find it difficult to commit for every ride.
I'm looking forward to it already.

Which end of the lake do you meet? I'd be riding in from Bulmer direction.

We meet in that big grassy car park/lay-by on the left just before you get to the Coneysthorpe X-roads.

I'll be there of course.
Have just been talking to Julia who wants to go but needs a lift out from Stamford Bridge (is anyone passing that way who can help? j.coats@csl.gov.uk)

Looking forward to getting muddy again - I think my bike still has last September's mud on it!

Top fun - count me in starting next time.

Maybe we should start a new thread each week re. who is planning on turning up?

Unfortunately the only way i can carry bikes is inside my car so i am struggling to offer more than one person a lift but am happy to offer this meagre service - first person to ask each week wins!

New thread each week sounds sensible, then we can thrash out lifts etc. there.
