Wednesday Evening Ride (05/02)

Post by A Atkin »

This weeks ride leaves from Cycleheaven at 1830. Sorry, yet again I can't make it.

Apologies,

Good work out tonight with Sean, Jeff & Tim. Didn't even have to clean bike afterwards (that's a first for this year).

Fully intended to ride tonight, got ready, opened garage door, took the bike off the turbo, shock horror :( both tyres flat with pu*****es, so I put two new tubes in after giving the tyres a good inspection and then had to settle for a turbo session on what was a super dry night for getting out on the Wednesday night training ride.

Sounds like I missed a good workout, still there's always next week's ride to look forward to

Agree, it was a good night tonight, but did you think it was a particularly 'dark' night?

Just a short health warning - watchout for the hazardous slimey stuff lining Stockton on the Forest and my University (1 hour) loop - it is now lined with a thin layer of chest and nasal mucus as I chose tonight to make my return ride after 2.5 weeks of layoff due to superbug cold!

Didn't Donna warn us all off small children & sick people at the Club dinner? Well, I blame the student teacher and 5 year old in our house for my bug! They are happily without a cold, whilst I have been getting ever-more grumpy after 2.5weeks off the bike, but well enough to chunter my way through work!

Hoping to have removed the majority of unpleasant phlegm & to be sociable riding again by w/e!
