Roy Cromack

Can anyone tell me what Roy Cromack is doing these days? He was my maths master at school back in the 1960s and is one of the few masters I remember with any affection.

I can't help much but can say i managed to put one of the riders in 3 bridges into contact with Roy who knew him I think from time in forces.

Sounds like he was a popular person as well as amazing cyclist.

The club 24 hour record is definitely one which is on the shelf for a long time to come.

Roy is a bit of a hero of mine. When Andy Wilko finally beat Roy's 24 hour Comp Record in '98 (?), it was Roy who coached and supported him. Roy was guest of honour at our club dinner that year, but I was a bit star struck to have a real chat. I think he's still in or near York as I see him out in the lanes occasionally - looking as lean as ever....
