Quite a few people have mentioned that they'd like the idea of some rides to be organised during the summer school holidays, specifically for families with older children, say 10 years upwards.
So out of the Easy Riders could grow the Fun Riders. If you're interested, or know people who might be, put a post up, and we can take it from there. The basic requirement will be that children need to each be accompanied by a parent or adult carer, who will have full responsibility.
Last night 8 Easy Riders enjoyed a fabulous summer evening ride under sunny skies, stopping off at the Three Hares in Bilborough. Marie, Ann and Robin joined for their first ride enjoying the experience.
Next week's ride will be on Tuesday July 29, leaving at 6 from Exhibiltion Square.

Hello Willy,
I really enjoyed the 'leisure' cycle last night - but oh my goodness i am aching today!! ehehhe - i think i am a bit unfit!!!
I would be very interested in the fun cycle. My son Daniel who is 10 would love to join. I work during the week so even in the holidays weekdays might be a problem - i agree 8pm would be a good finishing time - maybe 8.30pm if no school next day.
I think my friend and her daughter would be interested too.
Marie.

Hi Willy
My dad said he would like to come along with my sister aged 12 and my brother aged 9 but he is experienced at riding on roads(10 in October)
I came out with you on one of the Saturday rides a few months ago and really enjoyed it,unfortunately not had another chance recently because of other sporting committments on a weekend.
Many thanks
Laura

True English summer weather has arrived and we're all feeling better for it, so I thought to see what interest there is in running a Fun Ride this Saturday August 16th. By then we should all be acclimatised to constant rain!
Probably a 2pm start for accompanied kids age 10-ish upwards, 3 to 4 hours all on cycle routes. With juvenile exitements en-route.
Minimum attendance required: 4-5 + minders.
